Go ahead...I dare you...

I take a lot of pictures. Like, I mean A LOT of pictures. Seriously. And I bet, in the vast world of this digital age, you do too.

So then what?

We have our cell phones, our DSLRs, and our GoPros, but in the grand scheme of things, what are we doing with all of these digital memories?

We let our iPhones fill up until the annoying backup message tells us we’re out of room. When it does, panic ensues, and we chaotically call the most techy person we know for advice on what to do next.

We pray that our computer doesn’t crash—or that our cell phone doesn’t get thrown into the pool, bathtub, or toilet by our kids—in fear that we’ll lose every digital footprint we often forget we had.

So, let’s get back to the ancient concept of actually printing our photos.

Preserve those memories where you can actually look at them every day. Spend 20 minutes updating those baby pictures in the frames with photos of your kids, who are now graduating from high school.

Don’t have a printer? Go to Target.

Want higher-quality prints? Ask a photographer.

I don’t care. Just print your memories.

Enjoy those moments. Admire them on the walls of your home. Just don’t keep them bottled up on that addictive device bulging in your front or back pocket.

Go print them. I dare you!

As I was making a photo collage for my latest family shoot, I got to thinking about how printing photos always seems to fall off the priority list—even though most people are willing to spend hundreds of dollars on digital images.

So here’s to a beautiful family with extraordinary kids and shining personalities.

Enjoy. :-)
