📸 Hawaiian Horses | Wailua, Kauai
📝 My Story:
While exploring the lush landscapes of Kauai near Wailua, we stumbled upon a beautiful scene that instantly made us pull over: a small group of Hawaiian horses grazing peacefully in the warm sun.
Leza, of course, couldn’t resist — she hopped out of the car and immediately made friends with one of the horses, gently petting its soft mane while I captured some candid moments with my camera.
Sometimes it's these unplanned moments that become the most memorable.
This quick stop wasn’t on our itinerary, but it ended up being one of our favorite memories from the trip — just slowing down, soaking in the scenery, and connecting with the spirit of the island.

🎉 Fun Fact:
Horses have a deep cultural significance in Hawaii!
Introduced in the early 1800s, they became an important part of ranch life, leading to the tradition of the Hawaiian cowboy — or paniolo — a unique blend of Hawaiian and Mexican ranching culture.
