πŸ“Έ Streets of Lahaina | Maui, Hawaii

πŸ“ My Story:

Before the devastating 2023 wildfires, Lahaina was one of Maui’s most vibrant towns β€” a beautiful blend of history, seaside charm, and lively streets lined with shops, cafes, and art galleries.

When Leza and I visited, we spent hours just strolling through town, admiring the historic storefronts, people-watching, and popping into little boutiques for souvenirs.
The heartbeat of Lahaina was unmistakable β€” from the giant banyan tree at Lāhainā Banyan Court to the lively sounds of local musicians playing along the sidewalks.

Everywhere you turned, there was something colorful, something joyful, something uniquely Hawaiian.
We feel incredibly lucky to have captured memories here before tragedy struck.
Our hearts go out to everyone who called Lahaina home β€” and we hope these photos help preserve the town’s spirit.

πŸ“Έ Photography Tip:

Use a polarizing filter if you’re shooting midday β€” it’ll help cut the glare off shop windows and make the sky pop.
And don’t miss the chance to photograph the sprawling banyan tree from below for an incredible perspective shot.

πŸŽ‰ Fun Fact:

The banyan tree at Lāhainā Banyan Court is one of the largest in the United States β€” planted in 1873, it now spans almost an entire city block with 16 major trunks!
