📸 Jaffa Gate | Jerusalem, Israel
📝 My Story:
Jaffa Gate was one of my main entry points into the Old City of Jerusalem — and it’s a sight that never gets old.
The massive limestone walls, the slight curve in the gate, and the buzz of life just inside — it’s like stepping through a portal into centuries of layered history.
Merchants, pilgrims, and travelers have passed through this same entryway for hundreds of years, and being there with my camera in hand made me feel like a tiny part of that endless flow.
The light here changes constantly — sometimes bathing the stone in a warm glow, sometimes casting dramatic shadows across the ground.
It’s a perfect spot to capture both the grandness of Jerusalem’s architecture and the quiet, everyday life that continues around it.

The road leading from Jaffa Gate was once the main route connecting Jerusalem to the ancient port city of Jaffa — hence the name.
