Dear Hudson
Four years go by fast!
So much can happen. So much can change. Even when the most obvious things are happening right in front of you, you never truly notice how quickly your children are growing until you stop, press pause, and reflect.
Hudson, where do I begin?
You are truly one of a kind.
Your warm smile. Your contagious laugh. Your crazy faces.
I’m so proud to call you my son.
Over the past year, you’ve grown so much. Looking through these photographs, it’s difficult to believe you were once so small, with your long, curly hair.
It’s also amazing that you’re still willing to take pictures with me and be silly and goofy.
Never lose that.
Always be yourself. Don’t let the whispers of others cause you to change who you are.
Sure, just like every other child your age, you have your moments. But all I see is a little boy whose curiosity runs wild, whose imagination is unstoppable, and whose personality loves unconditionally.
This is going to be a great year. I can’t wait to continue watching you grow into the little gentleman you’re becoming.
I love you, little monster.
Happy fourth birthday.
Love,
Dad
