📸 D.T. Fleming Park | West Maui, Hawaii

📝 My Story:

After winding our way around the northwest coast of Maui, we stumbled upon D.T. Fleming Park — a peaceful and family-friendly beach that felt like a hidden sanctuary compared to some of the busier tourist spots.

The beach here was quiet during our visit, with calm waters, soft sand, and towering trees providing welcome shade.
It had that easygoing local vibe where you could simply sit back, watch the waves, and soak up Maui’s slower pace of life. 🏖️

While we didn’t stay for long, this would definitely be a place I’d come back to if you’re looking for a less crowded beach day with kids, a picnic, or just some downtime away from the bustle of Lahaina.

💡 Pro Tip:

If you're staying near Kapalua or Lahaina, this is a great spot for a laid-back beach picnic.
There’s even a grassy area if you want to set up a blanket under the shade trees instead of on the sand!

📸 Photography Tip:

The ironwood trees along the shore create beautiful natural frames for wide landscape shots.
Also — early mornings give you softer light and better chances for crowd-free beach photos!

🎉 Fun Fact:

D.T. Fleming Park is named after David Thomas Fleming, a 19th-century Scottish immigrant who was instrumental in developing agriculture in West Maui, especially pineapple farming! 🍍
