📸 Tree Tunnel | The Lush Gateway to Poipu, Kauai
📝 My Story:
Driving through the Tree Tunnel feels like stepping into a lush green fairytale.
Located along Maluhia Road in southern Kauai, this natural wonder welcomes you as you head toward Poipu — and it's an unforgettable entrance.
Hundreds of eucalyptus trees arch overhead, forming a majestic, leafy canopy that stretches for about a mile.
We drove through this multiple times during our stay, and I swear I grinned like a little kid every time.
It’s one of those simple but magical places that makes you fall in love with the island all over again.
If you can, drive through slowly — roll the windows down, soak in the fresh air, and maybe even snap a few pictures (passenger seat photographers only, please!).

Use a wide-angle lens to capture the full arching canopy overhead.
Shooting through your windshield or sunroof can make for a very cool perspective shot!
🎉 Fun Fact:
The Tree Tunnel’s eucalyptus trees were planted over 150 years ago as a gift by a Scottish immigrant and cattle rancher named Walter McBryde.
They have since grown into one of Kauai’s most iconic sights!
