📝 My Story:
Traveling through the Golan Heights felt like stepping into another world — rugged, remote, and full of both history and incredible natural beauty.
The landscape changed constantly:
One moment, I was driving past old military outposts and rusted tanks near the Valley of Tears — reminders of the fierce battles fought here during the Yom Kippur War.
The next moment, I was surrounded by sweeping views of fertile valleys, volcanic hills, and vineyards growing along ancient basalt rocks.
I even came across warning signs for land mines, a stark reminder of the region's turbulent history — and how nature and conflict have shaped this land.
This wasn’t a carefully planned photography outing.
It was a day of wandering — stopping wherever something caught my eye, capturing everything from abandoned bunkers to breathtaking panoramic views over the borders of Syria and Lebanon.
