๐ธ Yardenit Baptismal Site | Jordan River, Israel
๐ My Story:
Visiting Yardenit along the Jordan River was one of the most moving stops on our journey through Israel.
Set against the peaceful backdrop of flowing waters and lush greenery, Yardenit is a modern baptismal site where Christians from around the world come to be baptized โ or symbolically re-baptized โ in the same river where Jesus was baptized according to tradition.
Leza and I stood quietly, watching groups of people in white robes step into the river โ some laughing with joy, some overcome with emotion.
It was impossible not to feel the weight of the moment, even as casual observers.
The atmosphere was one of celebration, reflection, and deep personal meaning.
We wandered along the banks, taking in the peaceful surroundings, and I took photos carefully โ trying to capture the respect, reverence, and quiet beauty of the experience without intruding.
It was one of those rare travel moments where history, spirituality, and the present moment all blurred together.
